Activity Report
August 2002

We are currently working on:

  • Liberty State Park - Steve Lanset has been working with a group of local activists to rid LSP of the Development Corporation. We expect to get a decision from the Governor soon.

  • Bergen Arches transportation corridor - The Bergen Arches Best Uses Study is winding down. A report written by NJDOT, without any review from the Advisory Committe, will be released in October. We suspect that it will have a pro-highway bias.

  • Ross Dock - Connie Ftera has been working to prevent a ferry slip here.

  • Hudson Waterfront Walkway - Connie Ftera participated in a meeting of the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway Partnership which is trying to assure that a suitable waterfront walkway gets built along the Hudson River.
