Activity Report
January 2004

General meeting scheduled for March 4 will be a presentation from the Alaska Coalition at the Montclair Library 7 PM; the guest speaker will be Tom Miles from Alaska. We will be educating the public about Bush's Administration's plan to log the Tongrass Forest. We invite all of you to come and experience Alaska's Rain Forest.

Energy Audit Project is continuing and we plan to meet with the county's Environmental Commission soon.

Light-Rail Expansion has reached Sen. Lautenberg's office and Christina Flanagan from Congress Menendez's office will meet with us next month.

The Hatfield Swamp Conservation Committee will continue it's exploration of the area to keep it from development.

We have been invited to sit on the Brownfield's Inventory Coalition to help identify other contaminated sites that need remediation.
