  • LAWRENCE:

    • Wal-Mart:
LETs Stop Wal-Mart is set to launch its living wage referendum campaign. Citizen Action is holding a training session on May 10.

  • HAMILTON:

We are waiting for National to complete the paperwork so we can join the defense of the downzoning lawsuit.

  • PRINCETON RIDGE

For several months, the Princeton Zoning Board has been hearing testimony from a developer who wants to build the Morgan Estates on Bunn Drive. The site was not one of those chosen for the nefarious zoning "overlays" several years ago, and with good reason. The site is halfway down the hill and already prone to flooding. Speaking for the developers, the engineers clearly have not done their homework. For example, they did not know that they would have to blast bedrock to build on the site. The zoning board is aware how unprepared and ignorant the developers are. There is large opposition to the development, which would create market-rate age-restricted housing. We suspect that the delays might be intentional, in order to wear down the opposition, but the cluelessness of the developers is too well done to be fake.
