Directions to the Library of the Chathams (Planning/Executive Committee Meetings)

From Route 287

Traveling south on I-287, get on Route 24 East Exit 37 (the sign says Springfield), which is the first exit after the Route 10 Exits. (You may also access Route 24 from Route I-287 northbound.)  Proceed on Route 24 East for about 8 miles to Exit 7 (the sign says JFK Parkway). Follow the signs for JFK Parkway.  The road makes a series of loops to the right (use caution at merge points). Just after the underpass (before Short Hills Mall), follow signs to Route 24 West, then take exit for Route 124 West to Chatham, which puts you on Main Street in Chatham.  Continue on Main Street through two traffic lights. The library will be on your right, about 1/2 block after the second light. To reach the parking lot: continue to the next light.  Turn right. Go a short distance and turn right at the swimming pool.  The meeting room is on the side of the building nearest Main Street.

From the Garden State Parkway

Traveling southbound, exit onto Route 78 West (just before or just after the Union tolls, near exit 142).  Traveling northbound, there is no direct exit onto Route 78 West.  You will need to exit onto Route 78 Eastbound, take the first exit and loop over the highway onto 78 Westbound.  Proceed west on Route 78 and take the Route 24 split to the right.  Traveling west on Route 24, take Exit 7C for JFK Parkway which puts you on a service road. Go past Short Hills Mall. Follow signs for Route 124 West (Main Street) to Chatham.  Continue on Main Street through two traffic lights. The library will be on your right, about 1/2 block after the second light. To reach the parking lot: continue to the next light.  Turn right. Go a short distance and turn right at the swimming pool.  The meeting room is on the side of the building nearest main street.

Directions to the Famished Frog

From Route 287 North:

Take exit #35 onto South Street. Turn left at the light then go through 5 lights. The 6th light is at the Green (a square in the center of town). Go 3/4 around the Green and make a right onto Washington Street, Famished Frog is on left side Parking:  Morristown doesn't have the best parking situation, check around the Green.  You can also take the 1st left after restaurant where there are some spots.

From Route 287 South:

Take exit #35 / Madison Avenue. Turn right onto Madison Ave. Madison Ave veers to the right at a light and becomes South St. Proceed on South St until you reach the Green. (a square in the center of town). Go 3/4 around the Green and make a right onto Washington Street. Famished Frog is on left side.

Directions to the Roseland Environmental Center

From 280 (East or West) / Parkway (North or South)

Directions to the Shillelagh Club

From 280 (East or West) / Parkway (North or South)

The Shillelagh Club is located at 648 Prospect Ave in West Orange.

Take the Parkway to exit 145.  From there you can get onto 280 West.

Take  280 East or West until you get to exit 8A (Prospect Ave. South).  Go through 3 lights then look for a small white sign that says "Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh" on the left which is about 3/4 of a mile after the 3rd light.  Food and beverages are available in the club.

Directions to the Verona Boathouse

From 280 (East or West) / Parkway (North or South)

Take the Parkway North or South to exit 145.  From there take 280 west.  Follow Below directions:

 

From Route 280 East or West, take Exit 7 (Pleasant Valley Way). The exit merges onto Pleasant Valley Way, just make sure you head toward Millburn/Verona (North) which is a right turn on the exit ramp (for both East and Westbound 280). Pleasant Valley Way will become Lakeside Ave. Stay on Lakeside approximately 3 miles until it dead ends at Bloomfield Avenue. Turn right onto Bloomfield Avenue, then take your first right into Verona Park.
