Al DuBois, the Recycling Manager of Clifton, will be giving a tour of a supermarket to educate interested people about food packaging and recycling. Al has worked with the Sierra Club in promoting the Smart Container Act. If interested in attending, please RSVP by 10/26 to adele1214@yahoo.com or call 732-572-6929. We will meet at the Acme in Clifton, NJ at 467 Allwood Road (973-594-0590). Carpooling may be available; please indicate if you would be interested in that and from what town you would be coming

- Political and Environmental Update and Discussion with Jeff Tittel
Jeff Tittel, Executive Director NJ Chapter of the Sierra Club will join us to lend his perspective on environmental issues in NJ, the results of the recent election outcome, the federal climate bill, and what we can expect in the global climate talks in Copenhagen. The meeting will be held at the Unitarian Society located at 176 Tices Lane in East Brunswick.

Eagle's nest web cam:
The 2,700 acre Duke Estate in Hillsborough has a web cam pointed at an eagle's nest for streaming video. The three chicks hatched from April 6-12.
The youngest eaglet took his maiden flight on July 6.
After fledging, eagles will remain in the area of the nest tree for several weeks as they practice flight and learn to hunt.
