Thurs Nov 5, same location.
West Orange NJ Historic Old-Growth Forest along with
1000 trees to be clear-cut for ballfields and parking
lots.
Protect the Historic McClellan Old-Growth Forest and
Arboretum in West Orange. Its on Prospect Ave.

Instead of the cool breezes that flow naturally thru the majestic trees,
there will be idling diesel buses and up to 700 cars.
Trees that are taller than 99% of the trees in New Jersey will be replaced
with two hundred feet of 24 foot high fencing for baseball fields and 40
foot high metal bleachers.
In lieu of a flyway for the endangered Indiana Bat, Golden Eagles, Red Tail
Hawks, and Great Horned owls, they propose 50 foot tall netting to catch
baseballs.
Where now 50 foot tall mature trees are absorbing and holding storm water,
they plan to cut and replace with detention ditches and replant with 8 foot
pine trees.
